This week I'm sharing a Chocolate Chip Banana Bread recipe! It was originally a regular banana bread recipe but my husband begged me to add some chocolate chips so I altered it a bit. This was my first attempt at making any type of "bread" so I thought it was neat that for banana bread, you don't need one of those fancy breadmaker machines. All you need are the ingredients, a 9x5 inch loaf pan, and an oven!

Ingredients

2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas
chocolate chips

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended.
4. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Add desired amount of chocolate chips.
5. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
6. Bake in preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.

yummy!

Stay Classy.
